Ideas for projects on EA Hackathon.

2. We will create teams and decide who will work on what at the beginning of the hackathon.

• Write an article on EA Forum with a list of good activities for EA Retreats. It seems that our article about retreat have inspired several groups to organise their own retreats. I think we have a lot of experience to share about what are good activities to do during such events.
• It is possible that several important long-term trends stopped 10 years ago (rise of IQ, increasing of expected length of life, decrease of violence etc). I want to see which trends it is true and see if somebody is already studying it. https://www.overcomingbias.com/2019/07/will-war-return.html
• Create a booklet (roughly 8 pages) that would explain basic ideas in EA that we could give away on various conferences and talks etc.
• One possibility is to take the first article from EA Handbook, add nice graphics, and see how it can be printed.
• Another possibility is to make several pages with question -> answer -> lesson that will cover basic concepts & ideas of EA. It could be a little bit like this, but with better lessons.
• Maybe we could also see how it can be cheaply distributed to other local groups.
• Design universal-ish feedback form for events organized by CZEA.
• At the moment, we do not have comparability of results across different events.
• Writing or translating articles about EA-related topics on (Czech) Wikipedia. You can use pageviews from enwiki to estimate which articles will get the most attention on cswiki. Or put EA-related quotes on English Wikiquote. (You can find collections of EA quotes on ea forum, goodreads, etc)
• Design an annual survey for the Czech EA Community. (complementing global EA Survey). Maybe it could also be used in other communities. It is important to be able to compare results across multiple years so we can see development in community.
• Write an annual report of CZEA. (To be published on EA Forum).
• Launch next year of CFAR Alumni rEUnion. Ie:
• Create web
• Registration procedure
• Figure out payments
• Etc
• Read a bunch of EA/LW articles or sum up some already read articles and prepare a meetup for the others to present them the ideas.
